Review: Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Sensitive Formula Cucumber + Sea Kelp

Hi! Today I am back with a skin care post! I'll be reviewing the Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Sensitive Formula Cucumber + Sea Kelp which I have been using for the past few months =)

Background about my skin:

I have always had extremely oily skin so a good toner and cleanser is essential to my skin care regimen. My skin is also very sensitive and acne prone and I am allergic to a lot of products which makes trying out different products a little difficult.

A few months ago I was out of my toner so I decided to buy a new one. I ending up buying the Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean everyday cleanser in the sensitive formula. It is actually a toner and cleanser in one and the "sensitive formula" sounded promising for my sensitive skin.

If you aren't familiar with the brand Formula 10.0.6, they are an Australian company and their products are sold globally. I have tried a few of their clay masks before and none of them broke me out so I wasn't surprised that this cleanser/toner didn't break me out either.

How to use:

I use this product every morning; I apply a generous amount to a cotton pad then sweep it all over my face. I wait a while before I apply my moisturiser. 

I find that the cucumber really cools my face while the sea kelp will helps clean out my pores. Even though I don't wear any makeup, I can see the residue left on the cotton pad which shows that it really removes all the dirt and oil that has accumulated on my face during my sleep!

Although it is a cleanser, you don't need to wash it off which is what I really like about this product. I'm always in a hurry in the morning so this really helps cut down the time I spend washing my face.

Price:

It was around $8 for a 200ml bottle and I've been using every morning for a few months now and I'm not even half way through the bottle!

 

Packaging:

One thing that a lot of people complained about was the packaging. The lid of the bottle is actually one that you have to twist in order to open as opposed to some other toners where you merely just have to pop open the lid. I guess this might be annoying for some people but I really haven't had any problems with it and I find that it makes the bottle cap more sturdy so that it's less likely to spill. I also like how the bottle is transparent so you can see how much product is left in the bottle.

Verdict:

I would highly recommend this toner as it is very affordable and works wonderfully. I have extremely sensitive skin and this product did not give me any pimples or trigger my eczema. However, I feel like this toner takes a longer time to sink into my skin compared to some other toners that I have tried. I would also only recommend using this toner once a day. I think using it more than this may potentially strip your face of its natural oils.

Overall I would give it an 8/10.
