Happy Easter! =)
I can't believe it's been 2 months since I last blogged but hiiiii, I am still alive =)
Uni has been so busy but I am so glad that we have a small break for Easter.
In celebration of the Easter holiday I thought it would be the perfect time to share this nail polish that I recently picked up, Essie - Fun in the Gondola, which is a gorgeous mauve-y pink colour.

To achieve these swatches I used:
- Base coat: Essence Studio Nails 24/7 Nail Base
- 2 coats of Essie Fun in the Gondola
- Top coat: Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat

Cost: Essie polishes retail for $16.95 at Priceline here in Australia. However, I managed to get it for around $8 since I had a voucher.
Mani life: The polish lasted 4 days before slightly chipping.
Overall, I really really like this colour. I love that it's not so bright and in your face and how it's not your typical baby pink colour.
This is the first Essie polish that I have used on my nails (you may have seen the one I posted on my Instagram here but I haven't tried it out yet!). I didn't find the formula to be anything special and for the price that they are in Australia, I don't think that they are worth it seeing as they don't last that long (compared to the Revlon one I reviewed here which was much cheaper). You can also see that even with 2 coats it wasn't completely opaque (3rd photo). I also find the brush a bit too short even though I have tiny fingers. However, I really like Essie's colour selection but I would only repurchase if they were to go on sale (i.e. less than $10).
What are your thoughts on Essie polishes and which colours have you tried/recommend? =)
lovely pink nails!

DeleteMaybe because there isn't many blue shades? =P
I love that colour, I haven't tried anything from Essie, that's definitely not saying I won't be doing in the future, just never got round to buying anything from there
