Hi!
It's been so long...but I'm alive and well =)
Chemist Warehouse is currently having 50% off cosmetics from Rimmel, Maybelline, Sally Hansen and Revlon. During these sales I usually gravitate towards all of the nail polishes but for some reason I have recently been obsessed with lipsticks.
Here are the things that I ended up purchasing =) (And this is definitely not sponsored btw!)
I definitely wanted to pick up a concealer because I have really bad dark circles. After reading many good reviews I decided to buy the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. I ended up picking out 2 of the 3 colours that were available: 110 fair/clair and 120 light/pale.
110 fair/clair has a pink undertone that is slightly lighter than my skin colour so I thought it would be good for highlighting but also for covering dark circles. 120 light/pale has a yellow undertone which is closer to my skin colour but slightly darker. This product has medium coverage (but buildable) and although it didn't completely cover my dark circles, it definitely made me look more awake than I ever have!
This is what they look like blended out:
I've also heard some really good things about the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder so I decided to try it out. I picked out the colour 04 Sandstorm. ($6.48)
Next is the lipstick craze hehe. From left to right:
- Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in 530 Fatal Red ($8.48)
This is a true red which is very buildable. The formula is moisturising but has a short lasting power.
- Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 150 Piccadilly Pink ($6.98)
This lipstick is very moisturising and feels very nice on the lips. It is a very wearable baby pink colour with a slight
purple undertone. This one is my favourite out of the bunch =)
- Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 423 Pink Velvet ($10.98)
This lipstick is pretty moisturising as well and is a fun pink colour that would be perfect for evenings out =)
- Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in the colour 05 ($5.98)
This colour is similar to Piccadilly Pink but is much more bright and not as moisturising.
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 077 Asia ($4.98)
Out of all of the lipsticks, this colour is the most natural. When put on my lips, it looks like my lip colour but better.
It is the perfect everyday lipstick. However the formula is a little drying, although I can't really complain because of the price!
On Instagram, I saw a girl with this nail polish and it looked really pretty. It's the Rimmel Nail Enamel Rita Ora 60 seconds in the colour 573 Breakfast in Bed which is a really nice mint green colour (although it looks more blue in the photo).
Last but not least is the Maybelline Eyestudio Master Sleek Brow Mascara in the colour Dark Brown. ($6.48) Again, I saw this product all over Instagram so I thought that I would give it a go. I've already used it and I really like it! I have naturally thick eyebrows but this product helps them stay in place. The slight tint also gives them a natural look. However if you have really light eyebrows you will probably need to fill them in before using this product.
So those are all of the products that I bought. I definitely bought more things than I had intended to but I'm really excited to start using them! If you have any product recommendations please let me know as I am quite a newbie in this department aha..
The sale ends on the 28th of September so you can still pick these items at the prices I listed if you're interested =)
